Most "failed" purchases are still confirming. Here's how to triage in 60 seconds.
Step 1 — check the transaction status
Open your wallet's history and find the transaction. If it shows Pending, wait:
EVM (ETH, Base, BSC, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism): 30–60 seconds normally, up to 5 minutes if gas was low
Solana: usually under 10 seconds
Bitcoin: 10–30 minutes per confirmation; we credit after 1 confirmation
Step 2 — confirm on a block explorer
Paste your tx hash into the right explorer (etherscan, basescan, bscscan, polygonscan, arbiscan, optimistic.etherscan, solscan, mempool.space). If it shows Success, the funds reached us.
Step 3 — message us with the tx hash
If the tx is confirmed but $OBS isn't credited within 10 minutes, paste the hash here. Fin will:
Look up your account ledger
Verify the tx on-chain via our verifier
Trigger a manual reconciliation if needed
Common edge cases
Wrong chain: e.g. you sent USDT on Tron when checkout was on Ethereum. Funds are NOT lost — contact us with the hash, we'll help recover.
Wrong asset: e.g. you sent a random token instead of USDC. Same — contact us.
Sent below minimum ($20): the purchase is rejected at credit time. We'll refund minus gas.
Tx still pending after 30 minutes (EVM): your wallet may let you "speed up" or "cancel" — try speed up first.
